The Tunnel with Room 14
Once there was a brother and sister who were not at all alike. The sister liked to dream and read and the brother like to sneak in her room to scare her for he knew she was scared of the dark.
They fought all the time and one day their mother had had enough and told them to go out and play. The brother took the sister to an abandoned lot where he found a tunnel and crawled inside. The sister was too scared to go.
She waited for him to come back.
She crawled through the slimy scary tunnel to a frightening forest.
When she finally ran out of the forest, she found her brother. But she was too late. He had turned to stone.
She threw her arms around him and cried. Her love began to melt the stone and he became himself again. "I knew you'd come," he said to her.
She threw her arms around him and cried. Her love began to melt the stone and he became himself again. "I knew you'd come," he said to her.
When they got back home their mother found it very curious that they seemed to have a secret. And they did.
